THAME
The most filmed location of Causton is a thriving market town with independent shops, traditional butchers and quirky cafes. Stay central at The Spreadeagle so you can park up and leave the car for a couple of days. There's a weekly fresh produce market (Tuesdays), small theatre, pubs with great character and good choice of restaurants. The Town Hall doubled as Causton Arts Centre and Causton Town Hall.
Guided and self-guided walks available at Thame museum. Or opt to follow the Phoenix Trail – flat cycling or walking along a disused railway track packed with artworks.
Access via: M40 junction 7&8
