Ever wonder how much those antiques gathering dust in your attic are actually worth? If you come to Henley-on-Thames on February 11th you could get a chance to ask the experts from the popular BBC programme Flog It!

Presenter Paul Martin and his knowledgeable colleagues will be setting up camp inside Henley Town Hall on the big day and running the rule over collectables brought in by curious members of the public.
Many viewers originally viewed the show as being little more than a fake imitation of Antiques Roadshow. But both shows are actually made by the BBC and the fact that Flog It! is entering its tenth series is proof of its enduring appeal.Fans of another long-running series – Midsomer Murders – might well be familiar with the surroundings in which the experts make their valuations since Henley Town Hall featured as the auction rooms in the art world-related ‘The Black Book’ episode.

Real life will mirror television when some of the objects brought in by the public go under the hammer in the town hall: will the experts’ valuation match the auction price?

With such a varied and cultured population residing in this picturesque South Oxfordshire town, there are sure to be many treasures presented for inspection at the experts’ tables.

More valuable antiques can also be seen in Henley’s stately homes, including Greys Court and Stonor Park.

Flog It! Henley on Thames Town Hall, 0930 to 1600, admission free.
